In August ,Chaste has gotten this opportunities to meet with the former VP of the United States, Al Gore for the Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training in Minneapolis, World Merit Council Summit in Marrakech, The Diversity Program Committee for Wikimania 2019 in Stockholm, Sweden, are glad to also inform him that his submission Integrating Wiki-Menstruation to Achieve the SDGs for the Diversity Space has been accepted, and for the 68th United Nations Civil Society Conference, workshop and exhibition has been approved in Salt Lake City, Utah

CLIMATE REALITY LEADERSHIP CORPS MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL TRAINING AUGUST 2–4

AL GORE AND THE CLIMATE REALITY PROJECT HAS SELECTED NIGERIA’S CHASTE INEGBEDION TO BE AMONG OTHER CLIMATE CHAMPIONS TO GET TRAINING AS NEW CLIMATE ACTIVISTS IN MINNEAPOLIS.

Former US Vice President and Climate Reality Founder and Chairman Al Gore will train people from around the world to become Climate Reality Leaders and take action to address the climate crisis. The training offers the chance to learn directly from Vice President Gore and a lineup of renowned climate scientists and communicators on how to inspire action and lead their communities in fighting for a sustainable future powered by clean energy.

The training’s wide-ranging sessions will explore how participants can raise public awareness of the climate crisis, build support for the practical solutions in our hands today, and pressure government leaders to act. Participants will also learn how to give the presentation made famous by the Oscar-winning film An Inconvenient Truth and seen in the 2017 follow-up film An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power. The training will be held August 2–4 in Minneapolis, Minnesota

PADMAN AFRICA GETS 100 PERCENT SCHOLARSHIP TO ATTEND WORLD MERIT COUNCILS SUMMIT IN MOROCCO (AUGUST 4–10)

The second edition of the World Merit Councils Summit would be bringing together change-makers from around the world, and Chaste Inegbedion would not be an exception to be among the delegates at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Ben Guerir, near Marrakech, to discuss inclusive opportunities and ways to empower youth to build a better future from the 4th of August 2019.

Over 150 young volunteers and professionals from 125 countries are expected to take part in the event, to last until August 10. Debates will focus on local and global actions made to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The UN SDGs seek to end by the year 2030 poverty and hunger in the world, achieve food security, promote sustainable agriculture, ensure healthy lives, inclusive and equitable quality education, encourage learning opportunities for all, promote gender equality and empower all women and girls. Chaste’s pet project Padman Africa is a member of team 2030 and they were announced as winners to be part of the 2019 Edition and the team lead would also be vying for an executive position at the Global Merit Council.

CHASTE SPEAKS AT THE WIKIMANIA 2019 STOCKHOLM DIVERSITY PROGRAMMING (AUGUST 14–18)

Wikipedia volunteers like Chaste and free knowledge leaders would gather in Stockholm for the annual “Wikimania” conference. This year, Chaste is a selected speaker for Wikimania diversity programming on integrating wiki-menstruation to achieve the SDGs.

Key participants include Wikimedia Foundation Executive Director Katherine Maher, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, as well as notable thought leaders from across Africa and the world.

This marks the 15th annual Wikimania, which would take place on 14–18 August at Stockholm University. Last Year at the Southern Sun Cape Sun Hotel in Cape Town, chaste was part of the volunteers who came together to discuss and share ideas around the future of Wikipedia and free knowledge globally.

68TH UN CIVIL SOCIETY CONFERENCE, PADMAN AFRICA GETS WORKSHOP AND EXHIBITION APPROVAL (August 26–28)

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a blueprint for action, advocacy and partnership, and a compass to ensure that no one is left behind, including those who are poor and vulnerable. Women and young people are seizing opportunities to participate fully and prominently as leaders in these efforts, and there are numerous examples of local action contributing to achieving national frameworks and bringing about global impact. The SDGs were designed with direct participation from more than 10 million people globally over a three-year period and were launched in 2015 with the support of all 193 UN Member States. Civil society is key to promoting understanding of these ambitious Goals and achieving them by 2030.

Against this backdrop, this year’s UN Civil Society Conference, reflecting Salt Lake City’s leadership and demonstrated commitment on sustainability issues, will focus on SDG 11, “to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable by 2030”. The agenda will explore the inter linkages among all 17 Goals, including critical issues relating to gender.

Padman Africa would get the opportunity to host the State of the Period to reflect SDG 11 and Period Innovations with leading panelist that includes Sherrexcia ‘Rexy’ Rolle, the 29-year old Vice President of Western Air Bahamas, Who is Running the Largest Black-Owned Airline in the Bahamas, Celeste Mergens , Founder Days for Girls, Kelsi Horn, 2018 Miss Black USA to be moderated by Nicolette Templier, Miss New York Earth USA 2019 have been sent invitations.

The three-day conference, co-hosted by the UN Department of Global Communications, Salt Lake City, and the NGO Executive Committee, will feature opening and closing plenary sessions, interactive thematic sessions, NGO-sponsored workshops, exhibits and a youth hub. Speakers and attendees will include leaders and other representatives from NGOs, UN agencies, academia, faith traditions, the public and private sectors and youth from around the world.

Reacting to this Global Recognition's in this cities: Minneapolis, Marrakesh, Stockholm and Salt Lake City for the promotion of Padman Africa, Chaste expressed readiness to change the narratives at the event and join other international young Global Goals Advocates in sharing intellectual knowledge.

According to him, it is always a great privilege to meet with youths across the globe, especially young activists, adding that the drive and commitment to improving lives in communities has always been his incentive to promote climate and menstrual health activities.

He expressed appreciation to Climate Reality Project, World Merit, Wikimedia Foundation and the Civil Society Unit United Nations Department for Global Communications. This organization are living their lives for the benefits of the communities and most especially for young people.
“For me, this event in the following cities is more than a Talk Shop, it is going to be a complete professional experience, leveraging on networks that will broaden our horizons, connects the world and provides us with a path to help us achieve the Global Goals on Ending Period Poverty,” he added.

Chaste Inegbedion is the Chief Flight Officer for Padman Africa and served as Community Relations Consultant at BudgIT, a Nigerian-based NGO. His work spans several projects funded by the UN Development Fund, Open Society Initiative for West Africa, United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, Making All Voices Count, Indigo Trust, Omidyar Network and others, to improve citizens’ access to government and drive key reforms in civic institutions at Federal and State levels.

Chaste co-hosted with CSR in Action the 69th Anniversary UN Day

Chaste works at grassroots and sub-national level within communities and States, across Nigeria, facilitating interactions between citizens and the government on how to solve community-based issues affecting the people most recently Padman Africa calling the attention of the Nigeria Government to join the rest of their counterparts in New York, Kenya and South Africa to provide Sanitary Pads to girls in Schools, Shelter homes and more. He has consistently tracked government projects, which were paid for by taxpayers’ money but never delivered, or implemented at substandard levels. His work is to make unearth, collate and present information that propels citizens towards enlightenment and/or organized fora to demand delivery of public services.

He has served as a facilitator in a different training workshop to make a presentation on community relations, humanitarian efforts and monitoring to help sharpen the CSO knowledge on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. BudgIT sponsored him to attend a training at Oxfam for digital communications and the Pan Atlantic University for a Social Sector Management Course.

His Social Services skills are oversubscribed as a result of his passion for advocating developmental projects for BRANDS, working with the British High Commission on World Menstrual Hygiene Day and providing Media promotions for global events in South Korea, Egypt, Japan, Morocco and United Kingdom.

Chaste enrolled in some professional certification such as Social Sector Management Course at the Pan Atlantic University funded by BudgIT, Coca Cola Foundation and the Africa America Institute: Professional (Master Class) which covers the following Management topics on (Integration, Scope, Cost, Time, Quality, Risk, Human Resource, Procurement, Communication, Stakeholders) Management.

Save Pwashikai Nideono’ was one of his most successful projects to create a buzz and raise Medical funds for a Genitally Mutilated 5-Year-Old girl to stay alive. Today, Pwashikai has been reconciled into society

Chaste is a US State Department sponsored Scholar for the GIST Women’s’ Workshop, Mandela Washington Fellowship Semi Finalist and Africa America Institute sponsored Scholar for a Social Sector Management programme at the Pan Atlantic University. He has experience in Performance Management and Project Actualization for Entertainment Celebrities, Media Executives, Business Managers, Publishers and Civil Societies Representatives.

He spearheads #S6startUP — a platform for unearthing entrepreneurial stories by using twitter as a tool for change. Currently, #S6startUP has created 26 million impressions, 60 editions, 106 entrepreneurs and 600,000 twitter feeds. It has been presented at the 2015 Global Child Forum in South Africa and 66th United Nations DPI NGO Conference, on Education for Global Citizenship in South Korea.” In 2018, he participated at the Brains and Branter at the London School of Economics, World Merit Council Summit in Morocco, 62nd Commission on the Status of Women, International Women Day Celebration at the UN, Misk Youth Forum, Wiki gaps hosted by the Swedish Embassy, Impact Africa Summit hosted by British Council and Ashoka, Wikimania 2018 hosted by Wikipedia. He recently spoke at the Diaspora Leadership Conference hosted by the Consulate General Nigeria-New York.
